About the Author

Do I contradict myself?
Very well then I contradict myself;
(I am large, I contain multitudes.)

-Walt Whitman, “Song of Myself”, Leaves of Grass

While never an especially appreciative Whitman fan, I have always appreciated this quote from the moment I heard it. Over the years it has taken on deeper meaning as I began to recognize differing voices with differing objectives within my mind. Not different voices, they are all but a facet of myself.  But differing enough from each other as to make dissonance an everyday occurrence.  So begins my chronicled journey to make sense of these different multitudes of my mind, and what they have to say on my various interests and roles.

And so I begin. As a man, a husband, a father, a transhumanist, a gamer, a hedonist, and writer, to sort them all out.

So where would you like to begin?
